Tour House

Crawford House is a typical Federation styled timber home. Its various rooms provide the backdrop for displays, events and exhibitions presented by the Alstonville Plateau Historical Society. There is always something for visitors to see and each year at least two major exhibitions transform the house.

Rooms have been decorated to reflect changing styles and technological innovations from 1910 to 1980. This was the period when the house was occupied by the Crawford family. Objects change within individual rooms as they are rested in the conservation store or are moved to make way for new exhibitions. Here’s a preview of our museum rooms but don’t expect┬áto find them just like this when you visit!
